Westclox opened the Scotland factory in 1948, in the town of Dumbarton.  The factory manufactured clocks until 1988.   During this time period, the factory produced over 50 million clocks!

 

 

 

Model:  1970 Sprite alarm clock

Features:  The Sprite was a model made for a short time in the Westclox factory in Scotland.  The case style is the same as the "Bingo" model being made in the USA at the same time.  It has a softer ticking sound and loud alarm. Although the dial looks black in the pictures, it is actually a dark purple color. Luminous hands and numbers.

Dimensions:  4" tall

Condition:  The movement has been serviced and it runs and alarms as it should.  The overall condition is EXCELLENT.

Date of manufacture: 1970 (no month stamp)

Place of Manufacture:  Dumbarton, Scotland
